Not only is Suzette Harrison a native of our capital city, but she is a third-generation Californian. Born and raised in Sacramento, Suzette is an Honors graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science.
Suzette brings to the Greater Sacramento Economic Council twenty years of customer service experience ranging in scope from mutual funds to automobile and property insurance specific to military personnel. Additionally, her work history includes service at various educational institutions, ranging from elementary school to university level engagement.
An artistic individual, Suzette holds a degree in Pastry & Baking from Le Cordon Bleu Sacramento, has lent vocals on several musical recordings, and is an award-winning author. Her publications include magazine articles in addition to award-winning novels. An advocate of literacy, she is the president and founder of a local book club established in 2002. Additionally, she is a frequent supporter of and participant in the annual Sacramento Black Book Fair. Proprietor of a small, home-based baking business, this lover of train travel and visits to the ocean is the wife of a university professor and mother of two teenagers. Suzette is actively writing her next novel…in between batches of cupcakes.
