Across the Sacramento River from downtown is West Sacramento, with its modern condos, new single family homes, and quaint riverfront neighborhoods create an eclectic mix that helps define West Sacramento’s personality.
South of Sacramento, Elk Grove is a growing city that proudly holds onto its small town roots. Elk Grove is also home to Apple and other tech firms, which brings a unique diversity of families, amenities, and great restaurants.
To the west are the cities of Davis and Woodland. Davis is home to UC Davis, bringing with it a young college population that creates the kind of life and excitement only a college town can provide. Woodland’s hometown charm belies its significant agri-tech industry.
Head east along I-80 or Highway 50 and you’ll find the communities of Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Citrus Heights, Lincoln, and Folsom. Affordability is Greater Sacramento’s hallmark. More house and more space for your money than you’d ever find in San Francisco, San Jose, or Seattle.
Keep going east and you’ll head into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Rocklin, Auburn, Placerville, and Colfax boast spectacular views and a more rugged place to live.
